Eleanor's New Ear

So, the plan for Eleanor's new ear has been put into motion.  Yikes!  How did it take 5 minutes to get 5 years down the road and getting ready for this?  It seemed so far away when I had her 5 years ago.  We spoke to Dr. Burt Brent's office today and once we figure out some insurance logistics, we'll work on picking a date for her first of four surgeries (EEK!!!!) for next fall in California!  ONE YEAR FROM NOW.  Um, seriously, how did we get here already?!
