Happy Birthday to Elle--the big FIVE! Part One

She's five.  I remember her birth so clearly and now she's five, a kid.  She rides her bike to school, she writes books about her "boyfriend" Jack and their first "cis."  I'm holding on to her with all of my might but off she is going!

Birthdays in our house mean you can choose every meal for the day.  What fun is that!  Eleanor started with the breakfast of champions: Nutella on toast.  Have you tried it?  If you haven't, run don't walk to Costco and get yourself the biggest jar you can find.  It's amazing.

Only problem?  Lil bit messy.  Oh and Gar found out he is allergic to hazlenuts.  Seriously?  Poor guy.

After school, I decorated the kitchen for her.  Lunch was mac n cheese.
See her preschool birthday crown?  Worn with pride.

It wouldn't be our house if we weren't being a little goofy for the camera.  Sisterly love.

Post birthday dinner (mushroom and pea risotto), we dined on a Hannah Montana birthday cake.  A few neighbors stopped by and we had an impromptu celebration!

Get em Elle!

So, in lieu of a party this year, we decided to venture to Natick to the [gasp] American Girl store.  It was a blast!  See Part Two.....
