Picture of her new ear, Stage 1

Here is a picture of Eleanor's ear, post surgery Stage 1.  You can see her little ear is still there.  The top part of her little ear will be taken off in the next surgery, Stage 2.  In that same surgery, the bottom part of her little ear will be repositioned to form the new lobe.  In the third surgery, Stage 3, he'll make it all 3-D.  So it will be flat like this for the next 6-9 mos depending on the timing (3 mos minimum between each surgery).  BUT, you can see how beautiful the structure of the new ear is.  Amazing, don't you think?

The tubes that insert under the ear are for draining and will be removed next week when we go back for our second post op visit on 11/1.
